Free Childcare while you learn!

"Care to Learn has been brilliant for me! Riley loves being at nursery and I know that the courses I am doing will mean we have a better life together when she gets older. Connexions helped with the forms and I've been easily able to change the number of hours that I get childcare paid for when I start a new programme or change my hours."

Free Childcare while you learn!

If you are a young parent Care to Learn can pay for your childcare while you are learning.

The subject or course you take is up to you. You can choose wether you want to take a qualification or not, and whether you want to learn at college or do another learning programme. You could choose a course or learning programme that lasts only a few days, or one which lasts several years. There are no set hours, so you could study part time or full time.

Letting someone else look after your child can be a big step. Care to Learn helps by letting you choose the type of childcare that suits you and your child. The childcare provider needs to be Ofsted registered, but could be a childminder, pre-school playgroup, day nursery, out of school club, or any other registered childcare.

To qualify, you must be under the age of 20 on the day your course starts. You might even qualify for some help with travel costs.

If you want to find out more, contact Connexions or call the Learner Support Helpline on 0800 121 8989.
